WWOOFing

The Community can host up to six WWOOFers, depending on season. They will mainly work in the large organic vegetable garden. In the wintertime, they can help with tree planting and tree care as an additional field of work. WWOOFers are hosted mainly in people's homes, most likely with Verena, who is currently managing the garden. We enjoy the sharing of different cultural backgrounds. There's often a great mix of people from different cultural backgrounds working and playing together. Learning and understanding of each other is just as important as learning about the organic garden.

"Thanks a lot for having us and sharing your lives with ours. I know now how to make organic compost and to plat garlic, it's been really funny experiences and we've enjoyed our stay in the community - we might be back in a month so be prepared!"

"You opened up opportunities for me I never looked for here, like making baskets & learning about democratic education & community life. Oh yeah, and being able to sing in a choir & around fire. Your garden is beautiful. Peace, Love & Gardening!"

"Crisp, dew-drenched Rapunzels, chickens with comedy coiffeurs, stray unwashed socks, chilli chutney and abundantly flowing black tea. Maori songs, fantails, weeding, mulching and composting. Eating, sleeping, talking. Thanks for everything."
